Hawera is the main town in South Taranaki. New Plymouth is an hour’s drive to the north and Whanganui is just over an hour’s drive to the south. Kerry Lane Motel is on the northern side of Hawera, off State Highway 3, opposite the northern end of Hawera Racecourse.

• Travelling north - drive through the Glover Road/Waihi Road roundabout north to Stratford and Kerry Lane is the first road to the left after the "100 Km" sign.
• Travelling south - driving south into Hawera Kerry Lane is the first road to the right after the Hawera Aero Club also on the right hand side. The Jehovah Kingdom Hall is on one corner and Coltons Car Sales on the opposite corner.
